Part of my journey to enlightenment involves me meditating on a daily basis, which I thoroughly enjoy. I have been practising meditation for over a year now and have found it to be very beneficial in all aspects of life.
Meditation can provide you with insight & guidance from your higher self or subconscious mind. It is also a good method for opening up to spirit and communicating with your guides or guardian angels, if you wish to do so.
Meditation as I have found can be beneficial on so many levels if you decide to make it a part of your daily life. It can help to reduce symptoms of stress, depression & anxiety.

Prepare a Space, Prepare Yourself
Find a quiet, comfortable place for yourself--where you will not be disturbed.
Create a relaxing atmosphere. You may want to light a candle, light incense, or play some soothing music in the background.
Notice how you feel before meditating. Begin to relax in general, close your eyes, take some deep breaths and breathe in for 5 and breathe out for 10. Do this 10 times by then you should be fully relaxed
Meditation: The Tree Experience
Be like a tree, planted on the earth...
Your feet are like roots growing into the earth. Imagine your legs reaching down deep into the core of the planet. Feel how your roots anchor you on the earth, making you feel rooted and grounded.
Your torso is like a trunk standing tall. Imagine your torso reaching upward toward the sky. Feel the strength of your core gently growing toward the sun.
Your arms are like branches growing out from your core. Imagine your arms basking in the light of the sun. Feel your arms moving ever-so-gently in the breeze.
Your head is like a giant blossom on top of the tree. Feel your head, like a beautiful flower, basking in the light of the sun.
Your whole body is the whole tree. Its roots reaching way down into the earth. Its trunk reaching upward. The tree's branches flowing outward. And crown of the tree reaching toward the light of the sun...
Feel deeply connected to the earth. Feel strong and stable in your core. Feel the gentle movement and flow of your arms. Feel your crown reaching upward, basking in the light. Enjoy the tree experience as long as you like...
Closing...when you feel ready, take a few deep breaths and let go of the tree image. Gently open your eyes and slowly begin to move. Notice how you feel now, after meditating.
